"Christmas Extra Credit"

"I created this assignment for my students
to complete for extra credit
during the Christmas season.
It also makes them more aware of some
different celebrations that are held
throughout our state. I use the
"ornaments" that they bring to decorate
a sparse Christmas tree. I use
clear lights and Spanish moss to complete
the tree decorations. The students
bring a variety of ornaments, such
as cotton balls, pine cones, silk
magnolias, etc. The students
enjoy decorating our own "Louisiana"
Christmas tree."
