The attached assignment has students making simple Baseball StyleTrading Cards of early French personalities including John Law, Bienville, and King Louis XIV. You can modify the assignment for whatever topic you are covering. I give my students the packet with pictures plus I hand out 3x5 index cards so that there is no reason for not doing the assignment. All they have to do is research FIVE of the people I put on the list. A great simple handson assignment. This is another brief lesson filler.
