"IN THE NEWS"

As a way of getting my student to look at newspapers, politicians, and editorial cartoons I give the a choice of how and what the would like to do as we cover government in Louisiana history. This activity allows students to chose between searching for newspaper clippings, editorial cartoons, internet cartoons, our state preamble or an Acrostic poster. It seems that when I give them a choice I tend to get more homework assignments back. It also amazes me at who chooses which assignment.
