Alpha-Minutes may be used at any teacher’s discretion.  However, students enthusiastically participate when they are timed and can beat the clock or themselves! Run sheets off back-to-back per student. Set timer for one minute, say “Go!”.  Students race to fill in as many letters as possible within sixty seconds.  Have students record results on individual graphs.  Once a student masters 25+ within a minute, they can move to the next sheet or set of skills.
