Louisiana Bingo Worksheet

I use this several times during the year as a test review or section review. Just change the words at the bottom as needed.

Directions:

• Have students fill in squares with words they select from the bottom word bank. WRITE IN INK. Allow them to put any word, any where.
• After they have filled in all blanks, call out questions, phrases, clues and have them mark their answers. They must know the material because you are not giving the words.
• If anyone 'bingos', take a moment to check. Generally the first person that 'bingos' has missed an answer somewhere.
• Keep going until you have a winner. Generally, I give four bonus points for the first 'bingo', three for the second, two for the third, and one for the final bingo.

Use questions are phrases that are a little tricky to make this even more fun such as:

• Sticky sweet (sugarcane)
• This was a gamble in more ways than one (steamboats)
• Down at the bird's foot (delta)
• Home for a Long time (Winnfield)
• An un-holey meal (beignets)
• Robin Hodd would have been one (Socialist)
• This and the morning dew and you are on your way (pirogue)
